The International Committee on Archaeological Heritage Management is holding its Annual Conference in Salalah, Oman to present and discuss:
Archaeological Park as World Heritage Site -
A Management Strategy for the Future

This is specific call for abstracts for the session on Underwater Archaeology to be held at the ICAHM 2016 Conference Archaeological Park as World Heritage Site - Management Strategy for the Future, 2-5 May, Salalah, Oman.

The session:
Underwater archaeological sites can make truly significant contributions to human history. Sunken water-going vessels are time capsules filled with material evidence related to trade, warfare, migration, and technological development. All if this is often overshadowed in the public consciousness by fantasies of finding rich treasure. This session will look at recent underwater research around the world, with particular attention to African, Near Eastern, and Asian regions. It will showcase new analytical and technological approaches in ways that will increase understanding about the unique contributions that underwater sites can make to world heritage.

Your abstract must be 100-300 words in length. The submission deadline is March 21st.

The 2016 ICOMOS International Scientific Committee for Archaeological Heritage Management Conference will be held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman May 2-5, 2016. Co-Sponsored by ICOMOS Oman, this conference will capitalize on the work done at the International Conference on Archaeological Parks and Sites held in Salalah in 2015.

Call for papers and posters
Your abstract must be 100-300 words in length. For detailed information please visit the website. Abstracts should be submitted via the website before February 29. ICAHM will publish the best papers from this annual meeting in its publication series with Springer Press, "Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Archaeological Heritage Management."
